Consultation on Park and Calder Community Practice - click here for more information - Deadline 16th August

From 1st February 2018 pharmacies and suppliers of medical appliances will no-longer be able to order repeat prescriptions on your behalf. PLEASE NOTE: Park & Calder Community Practice will not be able to accept prescription requests via telephone. If you have any specific needs, please speak to our reception staff, don't struggle, please ask us for help.

Prescription medication can be ordered from your GP by:

  • your GP’s online ordering service either by computer or a smartphone application,
  • by handing in the white, tear-off part of your repeat prescription to your surgery prescription box,
  • by letter.

We operate an appointment system and these can be made either in person or by telephone.

You can now also book your appointments online via the link at the top of this page; please call in at the surgery if you would like to register for this service

Appointment Times

GP appointments last 10 minutes. Appointments with Practice Nurses and Advanced Nurse Practitioners are for 15 minutes. If you wish to discuss more than one problem or a complex problem please ask for a double appointment.

Same Day Appointments

We operate a telephone 'triage' appointment system. This is how it works:

If you have a medically urgent problem, call the surgery before 10am. We will take your name and telephone number and put you o nthe list for a call back from the GP. You will be called back by a clinician the same day. The clinician who calls you back will decide whether you need to be seen the same day based o ntheir conversation with you and will book a convenient time. They may be able to issue a prescription or give you advice over the telephone without you needing to come into the surgery.

Please note that ONLY URGENT MEDICAL CASES can be soon ON THE SAME DAY and not always with the clinician of your choice.
